I had a brilliant Mother's Day yesterday. My girls made me breakfast in bed. Talulah made me a hot pink apron at kinder & Scarlet gave me the super funky skully apron from AnniesAttic http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=107717 on Etsy.
TWO APRONS - arrrrrgh!!! I will now have to transform in to a Domestic Goddess!!!!
We went out for a fabulous lobster feast & then walked it off at out local Mangoves. My Blythe doll heels were not the best footwear but looked fabulous. I got them in London in 2006. You can still get them on the Irregular Choice website. They have the MOST AMAZING shoes ever!!!
The girls wore the new outfits I made for them - the cold weather is a great time for sewing. Talulah's skirt has a gorgeous all over shoe print & Scarlet's outfit is all Paris Cats by Janet Kessler for Benartex.

- I am an Australian artist. I sold my first work when I lived in London just over 20 years ago. I have been exhibiting & selling since. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from RMIT in Melbourne where I majored in Painting & Film Making (animation). I love art & all things retro & vintage. I adore Blythe & my vintage Barbie dolls. I have 2 beautiful daughters - Scarlet Kiyoko Christine (8) & Talulah Kimiko Wendy (6). My more serious paintings are an attempt to find harmony between nature and man's impact upon it and a search to find beauty within the often harsh realities of life. I live on Sydney's Botany Bay. I am always saddened at the amount of rubbish I discover on our beautiful beaches. I collect this rubbish then embroider & stitch it on to my canvases. I like the idea of transforming something ugly in to something beautiful & new … my alchemy!
